    @ Room2ndfloor, Yes I did! I also have Buchanan connection through my GGGrandmother also.

    @ piperdbh The cake was lemon and the tartan icing was an edible ink transfer we put on fondant.

    @ Father Bill, Meg wrote our ceremony and included many old traditions such as the bell of truce, hand fasting and oathing stone. She did such a good job that the officiant didn't change a word and Meg included an explaination what these were and I think everyone enjoyed that. Funny that we use expressions from these traditions( saved by the bell, tying the knot and set in stone) not knowing where they actually came from.

    Another link to Scotland was that we had our rings made on Skye by goldsmith Garth Duncan of Duncan House. He is and amazing artist
