I'm not a kilt maker, but (at one time in my life) I was a wallpaper hangar, and put up a lot of "plaid". I know that when ever you work with a plaid (in this case tartan) that the patern in the material becomes a visual yard stick, so much so, that you can "measure every thing with your eyes".
I think that your kilt, and work look great. I know that when you're the author of something it's easy to be (or become) hyper critical. I've blown up the photo, and looked at the seams, and all the seams, and pleats are looking strait, and even to me..
It looks to me like you've done a great job. Congradulations on a project compleated.
