Kilted (PV MacKenzie) as usual this past Friday to for grocery shopping, lunch with a couple of friends and some research at out local Jaycar electronics store.

The checkout girl at the supermarket asked if I played the bagpipes? I told her "No, out of respect for the pipes!" I tried once but I could give credence to the old joke about why pipers walk while playing!

Turns out the checkout girl's father plays the pipes in a local band. We had a really nice chat to brighten up a mundane chore.

    No comments form my lunch-mates.

And a nice compliment to round off from the Jaycar assistant.
    Regards, Sav.

Not a Friday adventure but a fun Saturday evening. I got called to work at 3:45 a.m. got home by 3:45 p.m. My wife and I went to the Reno POPS orchestra performing for our local Art town celebration. The theme of the evening was "Under the big top" at one of Reno's outdoor amphitheater at a regional parks , lots of kids and fun. A very nice young lady 12 to 14ish came up to my wife and I said " I really like your kilt my family is Irish." Had one guy trying to be funny remark "I like your pants". Other than that a very nice evening I saw one other kilt, a black utility type kilt. I was wearing my HoS Freedom tartan.

You forgot to add, "and lookin' good". Congrats.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

One of my residents came in to the office to pay her dues. She wanted to see my kilt. She and her husband are going on British Isle cruise which will include stops in Glasgow and Inverness. She said she is going to buy her husband a kilt while there. She asked how much they cost when I replied the real McCoy about $500. She gasped! I told her there is a range and the lower range are from Pakinstan. No surprise there sher replied.

Looking good, SR! It's a minute to midnight here. So, my Friday has yet to begin; but first some rack time. Goodnight and see you on a new day.

It’s record breaking hot weather here in Virginny, as well as most of the USA. But I was cool as a cuke in my Newsome box pleat in St. Columba tartan.
