It wasn't that hot. There was a breeze and plenty of tree cover. Mind you if I'd been in a pipe band, dance team or a sheepdog, I'd have found it too hot for comfort.

I'm identified correctly. I'm the only one side one in the group shot because A I wanted to leave more room for others and B I wanted to show my sgian.

It was a lovely day and I'm glad to have met so many of you.

When is next year's do? I've tried wading through the programme without finding out. I must have overlooked it.

Next year's Harpenden Highland Gathering will be on Sunday 13th July 2014. The date is given at the end of this year's programme.

The Xmarks tent was situated alongside Clan Donnachaidh who had a photocall with members of Bedford Pipe Band.

Nice photos gents, it looks like a great day with quite a strong xmarks turnout for sure. Just curious, when you say it was hot, what does that mean in British

somewhere between 28-30'C I imagine, so hot for us, but perhaps not for you, but inside a plastic tent it seemed a lot more, and there wasn't much of breeze to help.

It's been that warm up in Scotland too. I just spoke with my great-uncle in Kingussie, Inverness-shire (central Scottish Highlands) the other day and he mentioned that it was a balmy 29 degrees Celsius!
