I bet this is a wonderful event, please take plenty of photos to share with the less fortunate.
And I have to ask... what is the story behind the dandelion?

TJ, the dandelion is the X Marks plant badge (check here) to be worn by members to events so we can identify one another.
Also, I'll be taking pictures as well and will post them.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. Well, it appears the weather will be pretty good for the festival this weekend. Cooler temperatures in the mid to upper 70's and mostly sunny. There is, however, a possibility of scattered showers during the overnight on Friday and into Saturday morning, but local meteorologists are forecasting any rain to cease around noon on Saturday. My wife and I will be there around 3:30-4 p.m., we will not be attending right when the festival opens at 11 a.m. as planned on Saturday, just because that's a really long day (we tend to partake in drams and pints) and the musicians and events we really want to see are in the afternoon and evening. The festival closes at midnight on Saturday.
So, I would defintiely bring the wellys just in case the park grounds are soggy from the overnight rain on Friday, as well as an umbrella just in case there's a pop up shower on Saturday. Heck, it may be cool enough to wear a day jacket! Hope to see you there!

Kyle,
Thanks for the weather update. I'm going to bring my day jacket (my only kilt jacket) just in case.
We are all set and the car is packed so we can leave right after we both get home from work this afternoon. We'll get to Western Pennsylvania tonight and head to Columbus in the morning (after visiting with mom for a bit).
I just learned that our daughter, who lives in Dublin, is only about three or four blocks from the grounds. Since we will be staying with her, we should be able to walk to it and not have to deal with parking.
My wife got tickets through the web site and since we are both over 60, we got a discount. We will probably head over about noon and pretty much spend the entire day, at least through the 78th Fraser Highlanders (though not sure how the grandkids will hold up). My wife made reservations to the 'Fairy Princess Tea' for our daughter, two granddaughters and herself for later in the afternoon.
Kyle, where and when might us X Marks rabble meet & greet and have a photo op? Also; What entertainment would you recommend as worthy to seek out?
