Top marks to Disney for maintaining the history of the movie industry by never letting the truth get in the way of a good story!.
Scotch eggs have nothing to do with Scotland, being invented by the London firm of Fortnum and Mason. Scotch refers to the minced meat surrounding the egg. As to banoffee pie, it was invented at a restaurant in Sussex in the south of England.
What is disappointing is that there are genuinely Scottish dishes which are completely ignored - the likes of the well known haggis, clootie dumplings, Cullen skink etc.
