Top marks to Disney for maintaining the history of the movie industry by never letting the truth get in the way of a good story!.
Scotch eggs have nothing to do with Scotland, being invented by the London firm of Fortnum and Mason. Scotch refers to the minced meat surrounding the egg. As to banoffee pie, it was invented at a restaurant in Sussex in the south of England.
What is disappointing is that there are genuinely Scottish dishes which are completely ignored - the likes of the well known haggis, clootie dumplings, Cullen skink etc.

I guess they're trying to market to the "general public" who don't know anything about Scottish food.

I'm not sure how many people would be attracted to a sign that adverstised CLOOTIE and SKINK

It would be cool if they offered current Scottish things such as Pizza Supper, Tikka Masala, and Doner!

    And what about Whisky??

Anyhow I'll have to miss that event, as I was just at Disney World in January and won't be back for quite a while.

Also no mention of Irn Bru. Saw that they may have haggis but there's been rumors only on that as of now.. Guessing the risk of haggis being alien to park attendees is too risky for them. Waiting with fingers crossed. Nonetheless there's a big bunch of us in the area as is in "true Orlando", not the gawdy and endless strips of $5 t-shirt stores, theme parks, hotels, etc.. and we're using it as a reason to kilt up on the un-kilted masses.

Looks like within the next week to few weeks we'll be kilting up. Maybe on more than one occasion. If find yourself in the area or live in CFL, let's go!

I might have to make it up considering the Florida resident passes - my wife and I have our 12 year anniversary this year in October and we were debating Key West, St. Augustine, or Disney...

Always wanted to do Disney (Epcot specifically with a stay at Polynesian) without the spawn in tow.
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude
