Giving back
I don't know if this is the right forum for this, if not please move. I just finished dismantling yet another pillow from a discarded leather couch to make into a sporran, when the thought occurred to me, what do I do with another sporran? I enjoy working with leather & have learned a lot from this community. I would like to give something back & would like to make this offer. I will make free of charge (except for hardware & shipping costs) a sporran of your choice, under the understanding that I am not a professional leather worker & that all my leather comes from discarded couches & therefore cannot be tooled & I am limited to what ever I have on hand. I would like this to go to someone who doesn't have a sporran yet.
On my part I will endeavor to provide you with the best quality work I can & am willing to try any type of sporran.
On your part you must be patient as I tend to work as the mode hits me.
I hope I do not offend any one with this, I would just like to help someone who may by can't afford, or who is not able to make one.

I am not a candidate for your generosity for several reasons, but anyone who is offended by your offer has more than just a screw loose or thin skin. That's a great kindness. Good for you.

A fantastic offer LPF - someone will be very grateful for this, I am sure!
A photo-diary of the whole process, from start to finish, would be nice. I know it would certainly encourage me.

I wonder if I might take advantage of this kind and generous offer. I do not have a sporran yet. Indeed I do not have my first kilt yet. I found this forum when I was searching for an inexpensive way in which to get kilted, and joined only a couple days ago.
