Piper George playing for my friend's mother at the Clan Buchanan tent to celebrate her 70th birthday. Her mother was absolutely delighted.
Kent and I decided that Scooby needed a little sartorial advice and a few necessary accessories. We wandered over to see the Kilt Lassies at MacKinnon's Kilts for help getting him a proper kilt belt, hose, and flashes. And you can't stop by the MacKinnon's Kilt booth without getting a photo with one of the lassies!
My Shining Star
Me doing my best in fairly withering heat. I left my summer weight jacket in the car and shed my tie after a couple of hours...it was hot! My hose proved somewhat polarizing, with some loving them and others hating them. One of my favorite silly moments of the weekend was when some of my dancing friends were debating about them in front of me. One friend asked another Red Thistle Dancer what he thought of them. He replied:
"I am not qualified to comment on Jamie's highland attire..."
