I use spanx under my dancing kilt... not the most comfortable to wear longer than a couple of hours. Why not try a pair of compression running shorts (same concept as spanx but made to at least wear for a longer period.) If you are male, be aware that your dangly bits may not be as comfortable in spanx as you imagine... at least male running compression shorts are made with the dangly bits in mind.
