Fall! Did someone say Fall? Aren't all the leaves supposed to change color and fall off? Looks pretty much as it did a month ago, except a bit cooler. Fall is my favorite time of year.

Here, it rained cats and dogs on Saturday, but Sunday was brilliant! Still feels like fall, tho.

Today the sun came out - so whilst it was not raining I went out and picked the first lot of apples.

Whilst the weather can't know the date it was strange that on the equinox it threw a tantrum and we have had heavy mist, heavy rain, heavy cloud and not a little wind ever since.

After all that the people around here are emerging blinking into the light of a pleasant Autumn afternoon looking slightly shocked.

Remember this is fall by the Roman calendar. I don't live in Rome and it looks like neither do you. In ancient northern Europe, I understand, some folks only recognized two seasons: Winter and Summer. Still I'm liking fall more and more despite being more difficult to convince folks I am comfortable in a kilt after the temperature dips.
