Hello Woolly. First of all, welcome to X Marks; I hail from Delaware, USA. Second, you did a great job on your new kilt and it's an interesting style as well. I applaud your effort. Your designs on making your own kit is commendable and you will find a lot X Marks are doing the same and are willing to share their experiences.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle.
