By the way, these are Charles Tyrwhitt shirts I ordered right after this thread started. They took a while because I added pockets and needed the sleeves shortened.

The "large check" on the first shirt in your picture will work perfectly with the kilt, I have many such patterns. In fact and with care and thought, you can go even larger.
