I'm with you there Chas, I think white would be ever so dapper. Be a bit of an anti climax if a waitress up-ended your soup though. And if that orange PC on ebay recently had have been a 46", I'd have had that snapped up as well.

I suspect this is not for wearing but has been constructed to display the different fabrics available when ordering a bespoke PC from Mr David Ogilvie's tailoring emporium (Scott Blair Ltd) ... You never know though.

Whilst there are colours, other than black, that can and do work very well with the PC, I think real care and thought should be put into the basic colour but also the assorted shades of ones colour choice to avoid the circus ringmaster look, or worse still, the look of one of his staff, the clown.

Wise words as always Mr Scot. In reference to my admiration for the Orange jacket, I should have inserted the word "probably" when describing how I'd snap it up. Barnham and Bailey had crossed the deep recesses of my thought process, but I'd done my level best to repress it. As I am often want to do.
Arguably the perfect matching footwear??...

Whenever I think of white evening wear, I can't help but laugh and think of Jeeves.

There's a picture of a white one here:

IMHO, the jabot with a pc is a mistake. But to be fair, it did look
rather better in person than the picture shows.
Cheers,

who only owns a black pc.

Great clip... I have always enjoyed Wooster and Jeeves as well!

I think that footwear was fashioned after a pair of Sergeant Major's boots ( which would have been black in color ) .... extremely wide at the toe to facilitate a lot of butt kicking !
