My first kilt!
After thinking about this for a long time, I finally got the nerve and made myself an X-kilt. For a while I wanted to know what it would be like to wear a kilt. But since I'm too cheap to buy one, I figured I would make one myself. After some googling around, I found this site and the pattern/description of the X-Kilt. I have never attempted anything like this on a sewing machine before. But I'm glad i tried, cause I think it came out wonderful. And I'm a lot more confident about my sewing abilities because of this project. Two changes to the original design, both inspired by Farlander. I made the extra pleads in the front, and the bigger pockets. The fabric came from Joanne and works well I think. To make the waistband sewing easier on the machine I used 'stitch in the ditch' for sewing the back of the waistband. Highly recommended.
