The parade of clans is on Sunday and line up begins around noon and it lasts until about one thirty or so. I'll have to be in that. But 1 PM on saturday is a go.

pregames kilt night - Celtic Tavern, Conyers
Jim Killman, thescot, has asked me to post an invite to his annual Friday night pregames gathering at the Celtic Tavern in Conyers. He being overloaded with other projects will not be able to be on hand to raise a glass to Turpin in that spot where there are probably still echos from last year's gathering. Lamar Britt, aka Ferguson Britt Sporrans, is willing to stand in as genial host, and hopefully we'll have return of other prior attendees. If you haven't been before, please consider joining us. Friendly place, used to seeing kilted folk, and not too hard on the sporran contents. As mentioned by forrestermodern or Jim in last year's thread, we've been known to step across the street to allow forrestermostmodern and other short folk (and me) to sample the wares of the ice cream shop. Meet and greet, put faces with user names, hoist a few, and swap some stories. Food available. Please post interest; we need to warn them about approximate numbers. In Atlanta terms, not too far from Stone Mountain, and we can probably arrange a ride if needed

TripleBlessed,
Phyllis and I attended last year and plan to be there Friday evening unless our clan plans something for us to do.

You have no idea how much I regret missing this year's Shenanigan Fest at the Tavern on Friday night. It's always very laid back and friendly, and you'll not be unhappy with your reception. And--trust me--it's a lot more fun that the grand reception for sponsors.
I just have commitments out of town that prohibit my attendance, but I'm sure Michael and Lamar will show you the ropes.

YES , the X Marks meet up has to be 10 times better then the Reception for sponsors ,as it was bad last year - they did not even give us chairs to set in while eating - I have two tickets to it and will not be going - No way ,the SMHG has alot to learn when it comes to the dinner -sorry just a little upset about last years event - very un comfortable .
But with that said I am still not able to go to the X Marks dinner either .
But will see you all on Sat and Sun
Thank you
