    You're right, of course. My post was partially tongue-in-cheek. What's true is that "Evening Dress must be black" has apparently never applied to Highland Dress, but the colours have normally been dark green, dark blue, claret, dark brown, etc.

    That Harlequin PC (Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoatee) is really something to behold, ain't it? If one were going out of one's way to create the most hideous Highland outfit possible, that PC would be a great starting-point.
