Thanks for an update Alex, would be interesting to compare your photos of 2009 to how it looks now. As mentioned in your 2009 thread, the location was not well known, so as to avoid plundering. I wonder if it worked out that way. Cheers

Wow! What a sad day for Clan Douglas.

I hope that a Douglas or group of them can purchase and restore the castle.

Well, so long as he doesn't try to do what the American planned in Hanks/Hannah/O'Toole High Spirits and try to remove it to the States...
Hopefully he'll renovate, be a member of the Clan and bring local employment.
