Perhaps you ARE in a small group with your passion for riding in the snow Robert, but not for riding in general!

I can say that my P/V is getting worn less than my 16oz wool these days. Even 5-yards of heavy wool is nippy at times! A tank may be in the future down the road...

Certainly not alone in your passion for two wheels. Fortunately where I livee I can enjoy two wheels AND kilts all year - just not as a simultaneous activities.

We do have four seasons here at the beach (in Delaware) but there are plenty of days in the 50s and 60s in the winter months.

    The bike is snow adverse:

and so am I when it comes to two wheels. Of course, if you want to emulate Robert and his imitation of a popsicle, well......

By the way Robert, you look cold, damn cold.

Ok. I am going to ask. How in the heck do you manage to ride kilted? I have a Road King Classic and am looking for ideas. I ride the bike everywhere, I have a care, I just prefer to ride unless I have to use it, so it would be kind of a pain in the neck to ride in jeans and change into the kilt.

Haven't figured it out yet, at least not on a cruiser. If someone has found an answer, please share.

I bought some 65lb magnets from Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Super-Mag...80HD/202639939), and it seemed like it would work until I trued to use the foot brake. There's just not enough slack in the front to keep the magnet on the right side attached to the gas tank. The left side (shifter) worked fine.

There are indeed some lovely bikes shown in this thread. I do remember we did have a thread a number of years back showing our rides.
The RAT pack (Triumph riders) wear their kilts to RTE events. I have a few customers in that group.
I must say riding a cruiser kilted is a challenge, I found it easier on a sport bike or sport tourer as it is easier to tuck and pinch. The forward leaning position also helps.
In the colder weather I rely on a heated vest, and heated grips. MY ST1100 provides some weather protection as well, so it isn't too bad out there for me.
In the early years of Utilikilt they had photos of the workman's kilt and the model was wearing waffle long johns. That is an option I guess to ride kilted and not worry too much about the kilt flappin in the wind.... reminds me of a song "dust in the wind" change the lyrics to "Kilt's in the wind" ;)

Does one ride kilted? "The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind. The answer is blowin' in the wind."

I think that was Ian & Sylvia, but if I'm wrong I know there'll be many here to jump in and correct me.

Cheers & ride safely. Kickstand up, rubber down!
