I bought a Buzz Kidder sporran at the Ardenwood Games earlier this year. I like the sporran and have worn it several times but there was a serious problem with it that I still have not completely eliminated.
In the picture below you can see the 5 brass "rivets" on the back of the sporran. These were not smooth but had small metal "spikes" on them. I have filed them down quite a bit but they are still rough and I am afraid of them abrading my kilts. As you can probably tell I end up putting pieces of masking tape over them when I wear it to avoid any damage to my kilt.
