Rocky, I'm glad to hear that you're exploring the option of offering box pleated kilts. A PV box pleat just might be the ultimate in comfort and convenience.

We won't be doing them in PV... only in wool.

Rocky, I'm not wanting to hijack your thread.
I have a pv box pleat that is my go to kilt in warm weather....Gabe Everson made it for me a couple of years ago as a"one-of". I had him edge stitch the box pleats. I wore it on a bus tour most days in central Mexico last year and didn't need to touch it up with an iron. This is the closest I have to a pleat shot.

That's a hell of a pleat shot Liam!
Rocky, glad to hear you're offering the box pleat kilt. I don't have one yet, but sometime in the near future. I don't want to twist your arm, but a PV box pleat would be dandy Although, I'm sure you have sound reasons as to why you're not going to offer a PV option.

One could almost say an old horse's ar** getting on an old horse's ar**! The 15 yr. old stallion was affectionately called "Grandpa" at the stud farm we visited, so perhaps it was just two old stallions!

Rocky, I had been wishing that you'd be making box pleated kilts!! I, for one, would be very excited.
I was looking into maybe getting one of Matt Newsome's creations, but his lead time is very long (since he seems to be working alone, with lots of orders). It seems he puts out beautiful work, and lots of people on this forum like his products, and respect him and his work.
Been thinking about a box pleated Isle of Skye wool kilt…. still not sure when I'd want to order one tho.

That's funny I had Gabe make my X-marks PV kilt. I was going to have it box pleated until he talked me into Kingussie pleats as he felt it would be too light for box. I am very happy with the Kingussie though.
Rocky, I do hope you do find box pleating is worth your time and effort.

Can someone please explain the differences between pleating styles?
