I have a sister who works for Macy's back east, I can get things at discount, and I scoured their website and didn't come up with a single true Tattersall shirt.

On that thread a while back I posted a couple photos of "close but no cigar" American shirts... there's always something a bit wrong, either having the wrong sort of collar (button-down, or pointed), or being short-sleeved, or not having the right sort of pattern.

To me, the shirts Rocky posted above don't have the true Tattersall pattern, but rather a 'country check' pattern.

Defining the Tattersall pattern very narrowly (open to debate) it's a two-colour check, fine even lines, the lines being the same in both directions, on a white or offwhite background. The shirts Rocky linked to have differently coloured lines in the two directions.

Here's what I think of as a true Tattersall shirt
