Glengarry hats is certainly owned by a Canadian (Ian) but the bonnets that he sells are (and this fact is not hidden at all) made in Pakistan (but, undeniably, are of excellent quality).

I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on one of Ian's bonnets. I have no clue which colour to go with. Any thoughts? My main kilt is a Robertson Hunting Modern.

I'd go with one I like and you should go with one you like.
If the colour doesn't match who cares.

Carlo, I'm not too fussy about matchy matchy usually but there are colours that simply won't do.

I actually tried to imply that I think a blue hat would be great. From how I understand history (and I might be 100% wrong) the blue bonnet was the sign of the higland rabble, not the tartan. So blue goes with everything.

Has anyone purchased one of Ian's doublets? I'm liking the Canadian Rifles, but slightly altered since I know he is willing or was willing at one time to customize it a little.

Steve, I'm interested in reviewing these side by side, worn and loose. Thank you.

I'll take some photos and give a side-by-side comparison as soon as I can. Probably not until Tuesday as today and Monday are my weekend.
