Ohhh the email announcing the posting.

Yep the email arrived today annoucing the sending out of my Canadian Maple Leaf tartan kilt by USA kilts. This was a special offer I was able to snatch up on so now the guess as to how long it takes the postal service to priority mail from Pennsylvania to mid Missouri. Here are the specifics to the kilt from the closed thread.

    "Hey Guys,

We're still toying around with the idea of box pleated kilts and happened across a piece of Maple Leaf (16 oz Lochcarron cloth) which is perfect for another box pleated kilt for someone up to a 46" hip measurement. If anyone wants a great deal on it, we have enough for 1. Price is $250 delivered in the US ($32 shipping to Canada) and we're throwing in the rush on it for free. MUST call in to place the order: 610.948.4110

    First come first served."

I was fortunate to be the first to call, something that never happens to me. So will it be as soon as Saturday, or Monday... or must I wait till Tuesday....

Knowing Rocky and family are busy with a new family member I really appreciate how quickly this kilt has been made and I know it will be fantastic..... Yes yes photos will follow as soon as it arrives.....

Congratulations the maple leaf tartan must be up there with the Isle of Skye as one of the nicest tartans ever designed. Look forward to seeing the pics.

You are indeed a lucky man. This tartan has been on my "wish list" for quite some time. As box pleats are, frequently, less expensive than 8 yard knife pleats I have a few in my collection. I am anxious to see the result.

Yes, thank you in advance for the photos. I'm hoping you intend to show a pleat shot. I am waffling on how to pleat a piece of Maple Leaf that I have, so this is really a selfish request. I hope you don't mind.

Congratulations on the news. Rocky made the offer a couple of weeks after I had ordered a 5-yard Maple Leaf, but with wool from a different mill. I seriously considered contacting USA to see if I could change the order, but finally decided to go with the original transaction. Hope yours looks as good as I envision it. Now the waiting is even worse.

Ordered a kilt hanger in anticipation of my new kilt, what is one supposed to do otherwise when waiting. It will have a place next to my other 9 kilts.
