    I pretty much agree with Fitz, only I have no problems saying the jacket was destined for you. It was the wife's desire to do a good deed and see that the jacket was given rather than sold to someone who could use it. Next, it was the shopkeeper's desire to honour her wish and not sell it to you or another customer on the fly when she wasn't looking. So, by being the recipient of the gift of a needed garment, you helped both of them perform a good deed.

    Thanks, Orionson. My wife and I enjoyed a holiday on the Isle of Skye about 5 years ago. What a wonderful place! We hope to visit again sometime, hopefully, not too far in the future. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
