We leave on the morning of the 16th. I will be looking you too but it looks as
if we will miss each other by a few hours. Darn it.

Yes Thanks Alan I will give those a try.
Thanks to all you guys for the ideas and well
wishes.
BTW There is no rubbing it in here, just taking advantage of the vast knowledge of this board. As usual I have gotten some great ideas.

Agreed!! I never said that deep fried pizza didn't sound revolting, because it certainly does. What I am interested in hearing is whether or not it truly exists!

If it does, Mychael, I'd rather not know about it!!! I shall avoid all Pizza 'palaces' just in case - but then, I usually do anyway .

The new thing at the Maryland State Fair last year was deep fried Twinkies. They kind of puffed up like a soufflee. REALLY odd.

First it was deep fried pickles, then fried Snickers, now Twinkies! Yuck!

I had the fried pickles at the Renn Faire this year. They were actually pretty tasty. But then again, I'm a really big pickle fan.
The Twinkies, supposedly, are really good. There was a guy running a French Restaraunt in the "deep south" who invented it. The one I had at the fair wasn't as puffy, I guess. They're supposed to be more like a soufflee. This was kind of like a soggy sponge cake dipped in oil.
