The bus list
Yesterday it was a wet, windy and depressing type of day, but Elaine and myself still took off to our favoutire spot and watering hole up in the Brecon Beacons.. The Red Cow. We wanted to go and wish the landlord and his good lady and the locals whom we have got to know over time, A Happy New Year, which we do each year. In the last twelve month or so the hopper bus that takes you there from Merthyr has changed to a private community bus service. A 16 seater minibus. You have to phone in advance to book your place. I phoned up the day before as I normally do given our names. There was a new driver on the bus and when he came to tick our names off the list... he had to show me .. it read .. Kilt Guy + 1
Here is a little collage of pics from a trip earlier this year ..

You will never be able to be a bank robber, will you?
"Did you see who did it?"
"Sure - it was that guy in the kilt!"

Great pics Derek, I thought you would have snow but some folks appear to be in short sleeves.
A darn sight better than the -28 degrees C that we're looking at.

Glad you had a good trip but it's a sad reflection upon the state of public transport provision in the Brecon Beacons that you have to book in advance.
