I had a great time! It felt like old home week, everybody made us so welcome! Ham, don't be concerned, if my experience was any indication at all you'll feel like you've been there all along. My wife and daughters even remarked on how at home they felt. My daughter's boy-friend Chris tried the kilt for the first time and liked it so much he's ready to get one now.
So to all our "Vancouver Kilt Kin" thanks for the welcome! We'll be back for sure.

You're more than welcome anytime, Jamie! Glad to hear you all enoyed yourselves and that you and yours felt comfortable here. We tend not to fuss too much over guests at kilts night and treat them more like one of the gang. I tried to keep more of an eye on Oliver, as he came up on his own, but he didn't seem to need much in the way of tending, did he?
I knew I'd get on well with him! There was a lot of laughter that night and he seemed to be in on it one way or the other. (Those poor/lucky ladies!)
Peggy, (my wife to those of you who don't know), spotted you from her boat at the dragon boat races on Sunday. She always spots the kilted guys in a crowd.

Well Bear, we did in fact feel like part of the gang, and it's a great gang to be part of! Gina, my wife, had a good time talking to Peggy. We saw her team in the Dragon Boat competition the next day and that was great fun. Please tell her we really enjoyed it and we took her suggestion and checked out the "Lantern Exibit". It was truely fascinating. For the rest of you, I'll write a more complete account of our whirl-wind vacation when I get off work and have a bit more time.

Damn those Vancouver kilt nights look fun, much better than my experience of the drunk woman rubbing her hands all over legs and and asking if I was Jim Morrison!

I like the picture of the non-kilted girl the best. I like how you focused on her...pleats.
