Firstly ... A Happy New Year to you all.
Crash ... that pic was taken back in the summer
Tref .. your right about the bus service in the Beacons. The Stagecoach bus still runs every 15mins from Merthyr Bus Station to Trefechan but thats it now. They used to extend the service to Pontsticill every 2hrs but the powers that be have stopped that. Getting off in Trefechan would mean a good hour/hour half walk to the Red Cow, which when the weather is bad and your just going for a pub lunch etc its to much of a drag and hassle. So someone started up this little mini community bus, which is a 16 seater. It covers Pontsticill and Pant and some other outlying areas .. it can get full, hence they ask you to book in advance.
We are going again tomorrow with Ar n Dot ... will take the camera.
Here is a beer by the way highly recommended ... its a cracker.

    Thanks for the lovely photos!

Are the locals calling you "Derek the Cilt" by any chance? It has a nice ring to it.

They obviously paid a lot of attention to making that brew - it was done Caerphilly.
    Sorry couldn't resist...
