A man is not complete til he is married.

    Then he's finished.

    Good luck!

Congratulations John. It's great that you're planning to include some celtic customs. My only suggestion would be to point out that "customs" should be "transparent", that is to say that any of the things you choose to add should support the ceremony and not stand out as contrived or overly showey and thus appear phony. The guests should be able to understand what's happening without a playbook. The important thing is the comitment the two of you are making to each other and your community. This is not to say you can't be creative. I hope you don't think I'm being critical, it's just that my Father is a minister and I've help him design some weddings. I've also seen some "theme" weddings that didn't follow suggestions and didn't come off too well.

Oh, and I know you won't believe this now, but neither of you will remember very much about the ceremony anyway.

Congratulations again, and may you have many happy successful years together.

I actually got a Luckenbooth tattoo in the center of my upper back as a gift to my wife. She loves seeing it, as it is a reminder of our wedding.

My wife would split my skull with a cast iron frying pan if I got a tattoo.

Congratulations John, My BEST WISHS to you and your Bride for the future. My I suggest a Ceidilh after the Wedding Breakfast. If you can get a good band and a caller. There is nothing like a good night of Scottish Dancing to get every one involved and have a great time together.
    HAPPY KILTING
