Lots of comments on the two feathers of the gentleman on the right, but I can't let the thread close without complementing the gentleman on the left for his understated and slightly antique style. Very nicely done.

Threads like this are my favourite part of XMarks, allowing me to vicariously visit Highland Games I'll probably never see in person, or (as in this case) bring to mind fond memories of Games I've visited years ago.

Dear rabble I am writing this at Emory Hospital just to let you know that my wife today received a brand new functioning liver! We are both relieved and happy that she will no longer be so sick.
