I don't however try to choose my jacket color based on my Tartan. Either of these will go well with any Tartan.
I think we need to get away from this thinking that just because we choose to put a kilt on in the morning that our entire outfit must now be built around the colors in the Tartan. The kilt is very capable of standing on its own. That is one of the beauties of Tartan. It can go with just about anything.

I could swap either of these kilts with either of these jackets and it would still look 'right'.
If you go to a wedding where kilts are worn you will probably see the same jacket, shirt, tie, hose and shoes on all the guys. But each may be wearing their own Tartan. And it still works.

I would prefer we start to choose our accessories based on what works best with the widest range of circumstances. Ladies have known and used this 'rule' for many years. Choose a jacket that you can mix and match with the most other items in your closet. Choose based on how many different "looks" you can create from just a few items.

This not only makes good fashion sense it makes the best economic sense too.

As far as Vendors are concerned you need look no further than those companies who choose to be a member of this forum. Steve,

Very Nice! Where did you have them made?

Thanks and Semper Fi!
