I've been contemplating a trek to Scotland this summer but am trying to determine if I can make it happen. Any hospitable Scots who would contemplate putting a weary Gaelic pilgrim up for a wee visit in exchange for some songs and good conversation, PM me.

I would agree with you there, Rex. I mean who would want to come to Edinburgh when the festival is on? Far too many shows and other entertainment going on.
But please don't shoot the messenger about Bannockburn
    Apologies Nathan.

If you plan to be in the Newtonmore and Kingussie area in Inverness-shire, you are welcome to stay with my great-uncle and aunt. They'd be delighted to have you for a night or two. They live in Kingussie, about 50 minutes south of Inverness in Badenoch.

No shots fired at you, Phil. We're all in this trait pickle together. Good advice, though: I think I'll stay at home for midgie season and not go to Edinburgh for the panto, after all.

Piperdown and macman, that may work. Let's look at this in a month or so, but if you are up for a tour of Moy.... Why are you at Nairn for those 3 days, by the way? Golf? And did you know that John MofM is to be married in Singapore on March 31?
