To call “Outlander” a romance novel or a novel for women is verra misleading. It is very important to Ms. Gabaldon's readers that the historical aspects of the Starz series be as accurate as possible. Nevertheless, the demands of producing a television story in the 21st century about events in the 18th may create some anomalies that may need forgiveness from those with profound knowledge of the subject matter.
