I think Germans should be carefull using this kind of symbols. Other nationalities are able to use and enjoy them in a relaxed manner.
I was on a mediaevally fair today and saw the belt buckle as shown on Your picture at a stall selling belts and leather bags. It is a nice one. There where other celtic buckles as well. Alas no dung beetle... ;)
