You know, I'm beginning to notice a trend in people's reactions based on where you are. It seems that local places with their regular customers will generate more comments and less fear of saying something to that guy in the kilt. In big-name franchises, tourist attractions, and airports, it seems that there's so many out-of-towners that perhaps they would feel out of place mentioning anything about a kilt. The more audible reactions about my own kilt come from downtown, where most of the locals hang out (especially at the bars). I hardly ever get comments at Wal-Mart or Burger King (except from a few kids, whose parents quickly try to silence them). Does anyone else notice a trend like this?
