Kim, just wanted to point out a possible typo - "City of Defrout" should maybe be "Detroit"?

I must say that I'm sufficiently sad to have missed the Ross Modern Red kilt that was on sale. But I know that it went to a good Ross home ... unless one of those Sutherlands stole it! They take everything! Cattle, women! And we want our cattle BACK!

I've been looking for a Cape Breton tartan kilt. What is an "Edinburgh" kilt? What weight is the fabric? That one is too big for me, but if you can make one...

From their site Nathan " Our Edinburgh kilt is 80% handsewn with the lining and canvas being machine sewn and 100% worsted wool from Scotland's finest mills." Their 100% handsewn is called The Balmoral. Both appear to be available in 13oz 0r 16oz wool. Cheers

It's just interesting because Cape Breton tartan is not commercially woven in kilt weight fabric. The heaviest I can usually find is 10oz. DC Dagliesh will custom weave it but the cloth itself is more expensive than most kilts.

edit: I just called and confirmed that it is 10oz kilt. Too light for me.
