I think the main diffrence you will se with those is that one is 8 yard and the casual is 4 yard.
so the traditional will have a thicker fuller feel.
more pleats the whole bit. you will have to decide if you want that full (lots of material) kilt or a thiner one. I think eith (if made well) could last a life time. the question is how will you be wearing it. I have found in my limited wearing that the fuller of my kilts can sometimes be a pain in the ****, all the material and whatnot getting bunched up and all. but i do love it when i stand up and they all swing ever so nice.
So i think that you will have to decide what you will be wearing the kilt for sir.
