A brief hijack -- I can't help but think back to being a youngster in New Hampshire in the 40s. We had a crank telephone, you cranked it and the operator, who happened to be my cousin, came on line and all you had to say was "put me through to Guy or Ray or Annie. No last names, she knew who you wanted.
Nowadays it seems that "phones" are used to take pictures more than to call people. Can't imagine what they will do in another 50 years.

I shall also have my phone about my persons. And in 50 years we will all be wearing a google glass type device.

I think in 50 years we will be past the google glass technology and be onto something else. I'm almost certain I won't make it to see it but you never know.

We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.
