Happy Friday!
Feeling excited I was doing a bit of online shopping. Hopefully in the near future I'll have some good'ol scottish trinkets to boost my attire. Ended up using 3 different vendors due to price & selection. When I get the goods I'll be sure to report my findings or dealings. So far I ended up ordering a new Navy glen, cap badge & Brooch, pipers cross belt. Fingers crossed lol

Ok my findings on my internet journey.
i ordered 2 separate shipments from jhiggins. 1 on Friday and the 2nd on Saturday (because I saw more stuff I wanted). Shipment 1 arrived Monday. Contains a hat badge and plaid brooch and embroidered insignia. All 3 I'm quite impressed with the product. Looks great. Shipment 2 came today and had collar dog pins and a feather hackle and diced hose tops. Once again impressed. Looks like mint in person, fast delivery, easy ordering and reasonably priced. I would order again without hesitation and recommend.
i also ordered a pipers cross belt from pipeline on Friday, I called on Saturday to confirm my transaction and received it today. One of the best prices I found and the belt looks to be really good quality. Once again very satisfied as stated for the above reasons.
also ordered a new navy glen from glengarryhats. Easy transaction, prompt confirmation via PayPal and received another message stating it's been shipped. I already know Ian's quality hats are quite nice. So all in all a good friday of goodies. I will post pics when the rest arrives
i only posted this to help others of my positive shopping experience and by no means mean to be disrespectful to all the other wonderful vendors

Another Happy Friday. I returned home from work to find my new 16 oz Graham kilt from Burnetts. Let me just say I am very happy with the construction of the garment. Had it pleated to stripe to give contrast. Made to measure and it fits wonderfully.

Also I received my navy doublet this week. I'm really happy with the quality as well. Had it made in barathea wool so it'll be a little less warm in the summer months

I had a quick look at their site and the are a few warning bells ringing. Thankfully, you are happy with your doublet. Do you know where they are situated (or is that photo of a store on their site fake)?

I too had warning bells, but after emailing him a handful of times it put me at ease a bit. I think the picture is from his home with the merchandise. His name is Tim and is located in New York. I then found a Facebook page of the store and he's a vendor at some of the games. I actually remember his booth a year or 2 back when he came to Detroit. So once I seen that I figured I'd try it out. The doublet took about 6 weeks to arrive. In the email correspondences he said they are shipped from the UK. I got the choice between Melton or Barathea for the same price so I picked Barathea. I'm a very cautious shopper when it comes to sending $$ for products without seeing. And just by the emails back and forth for about a month I took the plunge. I would based on my experience recommend his store to others as I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again. Hope this helps. I know it's not MoD but for my solo gigs it looks pretty regale.

I know his site doesn't do it any justice especially the doublet pics so I just took some of what I received
