It's pretty clear where the decent weather went this past weekend (not here)! Terrific pictures.

Just to give everyone an idea of what you are seeing in MacMan's photos.

Here is one taken from my side. I am standing just inside my tent.

What you are seeing are two of the best pipe bands in the world going head to head against each other.
The Simon Fraser Pipe Band and the L.A. Scots Pipe band.

One would play for a while and then the other would try to outdo them.

It was an awesome experience as the sound would bounce around inside my tent. No one could talk, no one could even move the sound was so intense.
My wife who is an Audiologist was running around handing out earplugs.

Here are just a few more pics of the weekend.

We talked Tartan. We showed Tartan. We explained Tartan.

We helped, educated, and guided everyone with questions.

There were very few moments when the tent did not have crowds inside looking, asking, and searching.

We had customers stop in to pick up kilts that we had made specifically for them.

We measured customers for new kilts.

And we were able to sell some kilts from our "Scratch & Dent" and Off-The-Peg racks.

Some old kilts came home to pay a visit.

And some Regimental kilts came to say hi.

    Some tried on hose.

And some old friends stopped by to chat for a moment.

On Saturday I was again asked to be one of the speakers in the Heritage tent. This year they asked me to speak on "How to wear the kilt - old and new.".

Trying to keep all the new orders straight I was taking notes much of the day.

One customer actually called me because he could not get into the tent.

We were constantly putting things back in order getting ready for the next question.

By the afternoon of the second day we were all punch-drunk and a bit silly.

And some of us were just plain worn out.

The poor Canadian Scottish Regimental Cadets had volunteered for trash duty and running around doing anything which needed a young back. In the end even they were worn out.

All in all it was a great two days. The weather was magnificent. Everyone seemed to have a good time and the organizers went out of their way to insure this was a special highland games for everyone.

I would like to thank all the X Marks members who stopped by and said hi. I'm sorry I did not get photos of all of you. We tried to get everyone together for a group photo but it just did not seem to happen.
