Belts...What do you guys wear w/casual kilts?

I have two belts from www.celticempire.com that I wear with my kilts, when worn casually. Rudi's belts are great, and he does and excellent job on the details.
I do have a thicker kilt belt on order with my kilt from Canadakilts. This will be used for the more formal occasions.

I found a wide 'cowboy' style belt. It has a black leather cover over the buckle piece so there is not a lot of "silver" look. When semi-formal or formal then the large kilt belt with buckle is manditory.

No problem, Rudi does great work and is usually pretty quick. These belts also work great with jeans. Remember the prices are in Canadian dollars, so it is a bit cheaper for you guys in the US. My personal choice of design is Lichfield (which Bear also carries). The belts are great in that they have only one hole in the front, but 4-5 in the back for adjustment. So once you set the right size, it is always a perfect fit. The belts I have are both the $60 versions, and they are perfect.

Thanks for the input, everyone! From what I gather here, pretty much anything is a go. That's good to know. I really didn't want to have to spend a fortune on a belt. I appreciate everyone's responses.

And, Avonlea, if you like the look of a broader belt but don't want to pay a fortune for it, try going to a leather shop [I'm talking about... Tandy, etcetera that deal in hides and so forth] and buy a belt blank and some dye/sealant. It's a good way to cut the cost down, and I prefer the look, too.

I was going to buy a belt from Rudi this summer, but expenses got the better of me. I emailed him about the widths of the belts, and he was willing to make one of these belts in just about any width I wanted. I thought that was some great service!

Rudi is really funny. When you deal with him he comes across as the nicest guy, but when you are having pints with him you think he may really hurt you. He is one tough son of a gun. For a man of 70, he scares the crap out of me sometimes. Still, he is a great guy and does amazing work with leather and metals. He does carry several items that are not kilt related. If I had the cash there are a few things I would really like to own.
