Cracking picture, but just a (rather large) correction to make. That picture is taken on November 11th, 1918, and not before the battle of Vimy Ridge (April 9th, 1917) as the Canadian Army re-occupied Mons that day. It was the first time any British or Empire troops had been in the city since the Retreat from Mons in August of 1914.
