    Good advice here. You definitely need to get some space between the kilt and the hose, and a shorter vest would look better with a kilt. Your tartan flashes will be fine, though some do not like them.

    Can't say I care for Jamie's idea of a watch chain with no watch. If you've got a watch, however, the chain could add some bling.

    I guess this is going to be a casual wedding? Even so, I think a bit of extra effort helps to make the day more special. Personally, I would at least add a neck tie and polish up my shoes.

    I agree with what others have said about the vest being a bit too long and you needing to show more knee. When you put on the flashes, make sure not to leave too much showing out from under your hose in order to keep them from looking like little windsocks...

    I prefer solid colour flashes, rather than tartan, and I usually wear a kilt pin. These are matters of personal preference.
