Oh, wow, fancy getting your attention. I just finished a new one actually. It's in a rather daring purple, and several experiments involved.
First I went ahead and made it a RevK, which is surprisingly easier to sew. Came up with some ideas for hip pockets, which were OK, but the sporran pouch is kinda glorious in my opinion. (No, not a humble one, I am giddy looking at it.) It's all one piece of fabric, cut out to a pattern, then sewn down. All of it is at least double thick and sturdy. Some other alterations; I tossed out the Velcro, because I never really liked velcro, put on some straps to keep the apron tight, and though you can't see it, I put in a button inside the waistband to keep the under-apron up.

Two new photos. One of me rocking my Medival Blue, and a friend I used the rest of the fabric to get done. I am slowly Kilting all my friends.

These two are of a very manly make, as I hammered all the rivets in for a bit of shine, as well as going with a full 6 inch pleat for the RevK. I found some really nice Celtic knot-work buttons to set it off, and the things are sturdy, and keep their pleats very well. My friends also has a nice little hidden pocket built into the under approns pleat that will hold his cellphone or wallet in an unsuspecting place.

Little sister peeked a little to far methinks.

Additionally, I found a use for my leftover red fabric, and made a mini-kilt for my lady, sans pockets.
