    Now I have seen everything

Yesterday I was in the city centre with the wife .. not kilted I'm sorry to say. Now all the university students are back in town there are thousands of them everywhere. As we were walking along a bunch of student girls were approaching us. They were all in jeans apart from one who had jeans on plus a modern 'kilted type tartan skirt'over the top of them. I pointed it out to my wife who then informed me that its part of the fashion these days to do that. After that we seen several others dressed similar. I said to my wife I think I might try wearing my kilt over my jeans when it gets colder .. tongue in cheek ... the look on her face was something to behold .. we had a good laugh. Derek

Have ya noticed (Strange as it seems)...

    *They're* in style...

And yet sometimes, *We're* regarded as just..."Weird"..

Not that I agree, of course...But it is what it is.

A good friend is also a "kilted dude", and his daughter thinks it's "cool"...Even if her dad is a "non-conformist". Maybe there IS hope! <LOL>

that's not an issue we discuss here.

the very mention of green tights will make the author of such a comment liable to a fine of $4000 or 3 months imprisonment.
In addition the may be a ban of such a person from all kilt related sites for a period of no less than two years.

    now, what did you say??

It's been fashionable on the other side of the pond for a time now. My question has always been... why don't the good kiltmakers also have a line for the women? They're NOT that difficult to manufacture, there's a HUGE market for them, and there's no stigma in supplying a good dress tartan to the ladies!

Me thinks there's grand profits to be had, Jack!

    Jimmy,

Maybe most women aren't going to pay $150.00 and up for a plaid skirt when they can get one from the department store for $40.00 or less.

Us guys pay that much for a kilt because we don't want to wear women's skirts.
