I took the O/P as satire, pure and simple. No need for anyone to get offended (or respond that way, unless there's a back-story of which I'm unaware).

Well, I don't really want to get more embroiled in this. I'm willing to believe the OP meant nothing by it.

But, satire is, by definition, sarcasm, mockery and criticism.
