Could it be that these are "drinking shoes" as he is headed to a pub? I always look to the possible splash factor around others less capable with a pint. Still a fine tartan and combo of colors (ie shirt, hose flashes.) Good choice.

Not that I needed an outside reason to order my own new kilt, but I'm waiting on the delivery of a "Confederate Memorial" tartan offered by Atlanta Kilts of Suwanee Georgia. I'll be wearing it mostly while I'm at the University of Mississippi during home football (the made up American sport) games. My wife works at the Alumni Association office and I work (we offer photos and conversation) with the owner of a fine 1930 Model A Ford sport coupe. Attachment 21120

Hah I like the idea but no... All my shoes are booze hardened; nothing a bit of polish can't get out.
