Thanks for the video Bob. Yes, I know both Ron and Ann are institutions, but what most don't know is that Ron for years was the preeminent fellow to go to for correct architectural recreations. He would reproduce a large detailed wooden trim piece for a historic building by first machining the correct router bits for the job. An accomplished machinest and fine wood worker he was. All his shop stuff is currently for sale.

He had a small tent set up by ours at the games last weekend, and probably helped 50 children build birdhouses to take home. A fine gentlemen and a quality guy.

I did not know about his architectural background. Thanks for sharing that. I have seen him weave tartan and heard him play the fiddle. A real Renaissance man and, as you said, a quality guy.

What a fantastic rendition. I'm curious, is Ron a Chieftain of some sort?

From what I have been told, most of his work over the years was historic renovations in Manhattan. Trim, sometimes a foot or more wide with complicated and ornate designs would be replicated in his shop in Catskill. Often, he would need to make his own tools, mostly router bits, to accomplish the objective. When he was done, you would not know the difference, other than his piece would look new compared to the old.

I don't know the answer to that, Kyle. I will note that the feathers he wears are not those of an eagle, however. In person, they appear to be from a goose.
