From what I have been told, most of his work over the years was historic renovations in Manhattan. Trim, sometimes a foot or more wide with complicated and ornate designs would be replicated in his shop in Catskill. Often, he would need to make his own tools, mostly router bits, to accomplish the objective. When he was done, you would not know the difference, other than his piece would look new compared to the old.
