It appears we will have a rather nice contingent of the rabble at this year's games. And with the overwhelming American interest in the goings on in Scotland at the moment, as well as the equally overwhelming interest in the new television series, "Outlander," I'm quite sure the turnout will be even larger this year! Does anyone else plan on attending, I wonder?
See you lads soon...
Slainte,

Me and my family will be coming and I've easily convinced my Grandmother to come as well. She is very knowledgeable about our ancestry and I don't think she is 100% behind the kilt yet but we shall see! We will try to get there at the latest by 1:30 pm (haven't decided for sure which day yet but probably the 26th) but probably earlier but I've got to give Grandma some leeway. I will be wearing my Chattan kilt, a harris tweed braemar (if its cool enough, if not a green waistcoat and a dress shirt) a harris tweed bucket/trilby/fedora hat, ghillie brogues purchased from member Norbo, and my "Rob Roy" sporran. Slainte!

Sounds wonderful, mate! Just a reminder, the games doesn't officially begin until 5pm on Friday, September 26, and then continues all day on Saturday, September 27 with the gates opening at 8:45am and the closing ceremonies at 6pm. The games is only scheduled for Friday and Saturday. So far the weather looks quite nice. A high of 79 degrees F, low humidity, sunny skies, and a slight breeze. So, I think you'll be able to get away with tweed. You can always remove your jacket if you become too warm.

See you there!

Sadly, I am not going to make it after all. I have taken ill and it's unlikely that I will be better before the weekend.
Best regards to the Rabble.
